Easy, without an extra account!

The TU chat can be accessed via the URL chat.tu-bs.de. There you can simply log in with your TU user ID and start chatting right away.

Details

You can create public and private rooms on a topic and write direct messages. You can also share media, embed emoticons and so on.
The chat is based on the open source tool Matrix and is managed by Gitz. All data is stored securely on the university’s own servers in compliance with data protection regulations.
There are also Apps for download for iOS, Android, OSX, Windows, Linux, …

Tips

As a project manager, you can make excellent use of this tool to communicate with your team members. :-)
