The phases of a project
Before a project is successfully implemented, it goes through four phases in which, among other things, the feasibility of the project and the benefits for everyone on campus are ensured.
Phase 1 – In the head
- Presenting an idea on the platform
- Present project idea to the committee
- Start campaign
Once the idea has been created, it is presented on the Sandkasten platform. As soon as your project has been created, you can start the campaign. The campaign will show you whether enough people at the TU share your idea and whether it is worth implementing. It will also make your idea known to many people.
So that the experts from the Sandkasten committee can also confirm that your idea is generally feasible, there is the idea presentation.
Phase 2 – On paper
- Developing the concept of the idea
- Clarify financing, sponsorship and approvals
- Submit implementation request
The successful campaign has shown that your project should be implemented on campus. Together with your Sandkasten coach, your idea becomes a concrete concept. The Sandkasten platform and the project coaches provide the necessary support for many of these steps - for example, when it comes to obtaining the necessary permits or financing.
Depending on the type and scope of your project, different tasks will need to be completed. The following list provides a rough guide as to which tasks should be tackled in the second phase (your Sandkasten coach will support you with questions as required):
- Concept development
- Scheduling and implementation planning
- Clarification of legal issues
- Consultation with TU building management (GB3)
- Clarification of financing
- Transfer agreement with third parties/sponsorship
At the end of the second phase, the implementation application is submitted. In contrast to the idea presentation, in which the general feasibility was checked, the implementation application confirms the complete feasibility of the submitted concept and is therefore approved.
Phase 3 – In the making
- Search for helpers
- Realize the project
Now you can really get started. Find members for your team via the Sandkasten platform, get all the necessary materials and realize the project together.
Let your fans know what’s happening and keep up to date with your project.
Phase 4 – On the campus
- Your project has now been successfully implemented and can be used by everyone
- If applicable, a transfer agreement (sponsorship) was concluded prior to the implementation application and the project is now transferred to third parties
Now the time has come and your project has been successfully implemented. Everyone on campus will benefit from your idea.
